Welcome !

Welcome to all viewers of this site!!!

Troop 32 in Southington is stronger than ever with a host of exciting events throughout the year.  If you are even just thinking of joining Boy Scouts, please contact us through this site and we will be happy to follow up with any and all details you would require. Remember any youth that is between 11 (and entering 6th grade at school) to 18 years old can be a Scout. You do not need previous experience as a Cub Scout to be a Scout. The only requirement is a joy of the outdoors and a desire to have fun and learn about leadership and morals!

We have a very active troop.  Along with regular activities through out the year, our scouts attended camp during the summer of 2019 at Camp Sequassen in New Hartford, CT and will camping farther from home this year.

We enjoy active adult participation as leaders or be involved in any capacity they wish.  We are sponsored by the Lions Club in town.

You may have noticed that you have limited access to this website. Full access is only available to our members for security reasons.

Please click on the "Contact Us" button on the top left and send me your thoughts or questions.  I look forward to answering any questions that you may have concerning our troop and hope you will attend one of our meetings.

Yours in Scouting,

Dan Greer, Scout Master

Important!!!!!! Covid-19 Health Forms

Posted on Jul 7 2020 - 5:23pm

Hello,

I hope this message finds everyone well. As we go forward with Troop 32 meetings or events, please fill out our Covid-19 Health Form. Please fill out prior to arriving and have a parent or guardian's signature included. Troop has invested (just picked up today) in a Non Touch forehead infra red temperature scanner. So far we have one for use but were meeting at different locations, so please be honest filling out forms. We will use this tool  to help keeping us safe. CDC considers a person having a fever of 100.4 degrees or more. If anyone reaches that threshold,  will be asked to return home.

COVID-19

per Connecticut Yankee Council  --  All in-person Scouting activities are canceled effective immediately through May 20.

This includes in-person: unit meetings, roundtables, committee meetings, Courts of Honor (including for Eagle Scouts), patrol and den meetings, service projects and fundraisers. As a reminder, council guidance supersedes all other Scouting guidance, including the National BSA. Should any guidance from your chartered organization or your local health department be more restrictive, please follow that guidance as well.
